President Hakainde Hichilema officiated at the launch of the New National Policy on Anti-Corruption.

President Hichilema expressed optimism that with the launch of the National Policy on Anti-Corruption, more results will be yielded.
Government remains committed to fighting corruption that has seen a lot of national resources get embezzled by the corrupt few.
The current Administration has put in place measures such as the fast track court, asset recovery, and forfeiture laws, and the country has seen many properties being recovered, and this will continue.
The Head of State however, appealed to the judiciary to consider giving punitive sentences to people who are found wanting and engaging in corruption as that will be sending a strong message.
The President assured the nation that Government has not relaxed the fight against corruption.
Urged all well-meaning Zambians to get involved in stamping out corruption in the country regardless of who was, who is, and who will be involved.
He urged citizens to remain firm and deal with corrupt cases in accordance with the law.
Government is fighting, past, present and future corruption and if anyone who engaged in corruption is arrested and convicted, they must not cry victim, political persecution or indeed persecution because when committing these crimes, they did so in their individual capacity and not as a family or indeed group.
Government is working towards improving the multi-disciplinary approach and institutions in fighting againstĀ corruption.
